The Friends of the Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Center, Inc. was established in 1990 to assist the Center in meeting its mission of meeting the mental health needs of the community. We are registered with the State of Iowa and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c) (3), not-for-profit charitable organization. This group of dedicated volunteers has sponsored a raffle booth at Sturgis Falls Days in Cedar Falls, assisted with the Run the Lakes 5K Run and Fitness Walk, solicited funds through direct mailing and other related activities in support of the Center. Through their efforts, funds were raised for some new furniture at our Community Support Center, the purchase of a new computer for client usage, craft supplies and to meet specific client needs.
